Exact age is calculated by comparing your date of birth with the current date, then borrowing days from the previous month and months from the previous year when needed. This gives a calendar result such as 28 years, 3 months, and 12 days instead of a rough day-count estimate.
Months do not all have the same length, and leap years add February 29 in eligible years. The calculator uses real calendar dates so birthdays after February, end-of-month dates, and leap-year spans are handled more accurately than dividing days by 365.
If someone was born on 15 June 1995 and checks their age on 29 June 2026, the result is 31 years, 0 months, and 14 days. Total days, hours, minutes, and seconds are then calculated from the full elapsed time.
